Recently paypal paid an on line vendor from my credit card. I had no record of the transaction and never received any item. The vendor who was paid by Pay Pal had no record of a transaction in my account and also did not receive any payment from Pay Pal.
I have disputed the charge and asked for proof of the transaction. My credit card provider is still investigating. Pay Pay sent a letter, without any doucumentation, written explanation or even a return mailing address and closed the action stating "your claim of unauthorized access was denied.
I never claimed unauthorized access, but disputed the transaction as being unknown to me and to the seller who Pay Pal claimed was paid. The seller as stated above never received any payment. You can draw your own conclusions as to what might have happened and of course this smells like rotten fish!
